The Manifested Presence Of God – 12/04

Possessing the Land

Journey Into The Promised Land

Exodus 33:12–23 (CSB):

12 Moses said to the Lord, “Look, you have told me, ‘Lead this people up,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found favor with me.’ 13 Now if I have indeed found favor with you, please teach me your ways, and I will know you, so that I may find favor with you. Now consider that this nation is your people.”

14 And he replied, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” 15 “If your presence does not go,” Moses responded to him, “don’t make us go up from here. 16 How will it be known that I and your people have found favor with you unless you go with us? I and your people will be distinguished by this from all the other people on the face of the earth.”

17 The Lord answered Moses, “I will do this very thing you have asked, for you have found favor with me, and I know you by name.”

18 Then Moses said, “Please, let me see your glory.”

19 He said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim the name ‘the Lord’ before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” 20 But he added, “You cannot see my face, for humans cannot see me and live.” 21 The Lord said, “Here is a place near me. You are to stand on the rock, 22 and when my glory passes by, I will put you in the crevice of the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will take my hand away, and you will see my back, but my face will not be seen.”

The Manifested Presence Of God

The Church is going to experience the manifested Presence of God. God promised us that…

“A powerful spiritual force is about to be released within the Body of Christ that will bring about the greatest manifestation of the power of God the world has ever seen.”

What is this powerful spiritual force God is releasing? It is a new life flow that is going to be manifested in us, the life we have allowed to lie dormant for such a long time, not realizing that the very presence of the living God dwells in us!

God told Moses, “My Presence will go with you!” What a tremendous promise! My presence, the great I AM, the Creator of Heaven and earth, My presence…I am going with you!” With a promise like that…

…We can face every army.
…We can face every enemy.
…We can face every onslaught.
…because God is going with us! His presence is our ultimate weapon.

The enemy can stand up against advertising, organization, and denomination — but the enemy cannot stand against the presence of God. God’s presence is real. It is not an imitation. The enemy can imitate everything, but he cannot imitate the presence of God. It is impossible! God’s presence was so evident in Abraham’s life that even ungodly people like the heathen King Abimelech recognized it. In Genesis 21:22 he declared, “God is with thee in all that thou doest.” This heathen king didn’t know the God of Israel. He only knew there was something different about Abraham. God’s presence rested upon Abraham and it set him apart.

Prior to entering Canaan, God promised Joshua that no enemy would be able to stand against him. He gave Joshua an ultimate weapon that could not be defeated. God told Joshua:

“There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.” (Joshua 1:5-6)

What was Joshua’s ultimate weapon? It was the presence of God! The Lord told Joshua, “No power of the enemy can stand against you when my presence is upon you! No enemy can harm you.” The enemy cannot penetrate the ultimate weapon of God’s presence.

Make this declaration:

By faith, I am taking my eyes off of my circumstance and refocusing my attention on the manifested presence of God.
