Accessing Divine Provision
Journey Into The Promised Land
Entering The Cycle
Many misunderstand Matthew 6:31-34 and say that Jesus does not want us to plan ahead. Nothing could be further from the truth! Otherwise, why would He talk about counting the cost before building a tower?
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. (Luke 14:28-30)
Jesus is telling you not to worry about tomorrow or be anxious about it, but He does want you to plan for your economic future. It is time to make sure that your destiny and your resources are controlled by the Spirit of God and not the spirit of this age.
Here are five steps to take to ensure that you will enter into God’s supernatural cycle of divine provision:
1. Develop a godly attitude to receive the money God is going to pour into your heart. If you believe money is somehow evil, then you have misunderstood God’s Word. Only the love of money above the things of God is wrong. If you faithfully tithe and give offerings, you are obeying God and doing what He tells you to do, loving Him above all else. (1 Timothy 6:10, NAS)
2. Recognize that God uses money to direct our lives: He promises to bless our seed-planting into the Gospel by returning a financial harvest. (Galatians 6:9, NAS)
3. Recognize that God uses money to demonstrate His power: Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving and, pay your vows to the Most High. (Psalm 50:14-15, NAS)
4. Recognize that God uses money to satisfy the needs of others: How can you give to the poor and to the Gospel if you have not been liberally blessed by God? He fully intends to bless you so you can freely give to the poor and to His work! (Deuteronomy 15:11, NAS)
5. Understand that God wants you to plan financially for the end-time hour: Prayerfully seek His will regarding your finances. (Proverbs 16:9, NAS)
Make this declaration:
God will use finances to demonstrate His power in my life, direct my life, and work through me to meet the needs of others.
