Accessing Divine Provision

Journey Into The Promised Land

Leviticus 25:8–19 (CSB)

“You are to count seven sabbatical years, seven times seven years, so that the time period of the seven sabbatical years amounts to forty-nine. Then you are to sound a trumpet loudly in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month; you will sound it throughout your land on the Day of Atonement. 10 You are to consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim freedom in the land for all its inhabitants. It will be your Jubilee, when each of you is to return to his property and each of you to his clan. 11 The fiftieth year will be your Jubilee; you are not to sow, reap what grows by itself, or harvest its untended vines. 12 It is to be holy to you because it is the Jubilee; you may only eat its produce directly from the field.

13 “In this Year of Jubilee, each of you will return to his property. 14 If you make a sale to your neighbor or a purchase from him, do not cheat one another. 15 You are to make the purchase from your neighbor based on the number of years since the last Jubilee. He is to sell to you based on the number of remaining harvest years. 16 You are to increase its price in proportion to a greater amount of years, and decrease its price in proportion to a lesser amount of years, because what he is selling to you is a number of harvests. 17 You are not to cheat one another, but fear your God, for I am the Lord your God.

18 “You are to keep my statutes and ordinances and carefully observe them, so that you may live securely in the land. 19 Then the land will yield its fruit, so that you can eat, be satisfied, and live securely in the land.

Financial Jubilee

One of the greatest keys to spiritual harvest is timing. God always works in times and seasons. He moves in cycles with specific beginning and ending points. Within these divine cycles, various supernatural things occur which lead us to conclude that these are God’s cycles, not man-made cycles.

Israel was God’s chosen people and He established for them a Jubilee — a supernatural cycle — during which specific, liberating events were to occur. As a born-again, Spirit-filled believer, you are spiritual Israel — chosen and ordained of God — not because your flesh is circumcised — but because your heart is circumcised by the blood of Jesus:

In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ. (Colossians 2:11)

When Moses went up to Mount Sinai to meet with God, he was given instructions regarding specific days, times, and seasons which were to be consecrated and set apart as holy days. Each of these appointed days was very important to God and had a specific purpose. The observance of these days were foreshadows of God’s plan of redemption through Christ and revealed His desire to pour out the fullness of His blessings upon His people.

Among these special observances was the Year of Jubilee. It was not just a man-made tradition or ceremony, but it was God-ordained! God planned for Israel to observe it throughout the generations as a testimony of God’s faithfulness and supernatural provision.

The word “jubilee” is taken from the Hebrew word “yovel,” and over the years, it became known as a year of liberty, freedom, and victory! It means “to cause to bring back.”

In Leviticus 25, God established five essential features which characterized Jubilee in ancient Israel:

  1. Release: Liberty was proclaimed to all who were in bondage — those enslaved were set free.
  2. Restoration: Lost possessions were returned — property lost through debt or poverty reverted to its original owner.
  3. Debt cancellation: All debts were canceled.
  4. Protection: The people would dwell in the land in safety because the enemy — who came to rob, steal, and destroy — would be defeated.
  5. Increase: There would be divine sufficiency, a supernatural cycle of God’s provision.

As New Testament Israel, God wants you to experience financial jubilee — continual provision, total supply — as did His people, Israel.

Make this declaration:

I am entering into a financial jubilee of continual provision and total supply.
