Overcoming Obstacles

Journey Into The Promised Land

Luke 17:11–19 (CSB)

TEN MEN HEALED

11 While traveling to Jerusalem, he passed between Samaria and Galilee. 12 As he entered a village, ten men with leprosy, met him. They stood at a distance 13 and raised their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

14 When he saw them, he told them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And while they were going, they were cleansed.

15 But one of them, seeing that he was healed, returned and, with a loud voice, gave glory to God. 16 He fell facedown at his feet, thanking him. And he was a Samaritan.

17 Then Jesus said, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Didn’t any return to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And he told him, “Get up and go on your way. Your faith has saved you.”

Five Powerful Strategies

Here is the next strategy for breaking through the obstacle of unbelief:

Strategy number five: Don’t waver. The ten lepers who came to Jesus were healed as they acted in obedience to Christ’s command, “…Go show yourselves unto the priests…” (Luke 17:14). They were healed as they went. The man with the withered hand was made whole as he acted in obedience to Christ’s command, “…Stretch forth thine hand…” (Mark 3:5). The disciples caught a miraculous draught of fishes as they acted in obedience to Christ’s command, “…Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught!” (Luke 5:4). The impotent man at the pool of Bethesda, who had been sick thirty-eight years, was healed as he acted in obedience to Christ’s command, “…Rise, take up thy bed, and walk” (John 5:8). The blind man was healed as he acted upon Christ’s command, “…Go, wash in the pool of Siloam…” (John 9:7).

God is speaking to you today that now is your time! As you receive His Rhema Word to you, the faith is already there with the promise. All that is necessary is for you to act upon the promise.

What are the promises God has given you that you have been holding on to? What are the circumstances where you desperately need an answer from God? It is time to break through the walls of unbelief and claim those promises. Whatever your needs are right now, God has placed within you His supernatural faith which will enable you to take hold of those things — the healing, finances, restoration of your marriage, whatever you need or desire from God — and bring them into reality. As you release your faith and act upon God’s promises, you will break through the wall of unbelief to take possession of the things He has promised you.

Before we conclude today’s devotional, let’s review once more the five strategies to break through the obstacle of unbelief:

  • Strategy number one: Repent of any unbelief.
  • Strategy number two: Shut out unbelief from your heart and mind.
  • Strategy number three: Activate the supernatural faith of God.
  • Strategy number four: Appropriate God’s supernatural faith.
  • Strategy number five: Don’t waver.

From this moment on, let every struggle in your life to produce faith, to believe God’s promises, to trust Him for the things you need, cease in the Name of Jesus. Receive the revelation that God has placed His supernatural faith within you. Draw your faith from Jesus, Who is the Author and Finisher of your faith. Take the title deed God has placed in your hands and take possession of the things you need.

Make this declaration:

I repent of any unbelief. I shut unbelief out of my heart and mind. I activate and appropriate God’s supernatural faith!
