Penetrating Enemy Lines

Journey Into The Promised Land

Ephesians 1:19–23 (CSB)

19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the mighty working of his strength.

GOD’S POWER IN CHRIST

20 He exercised this power in Christ by raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavens—21 far above every ruler and authority, power and dominion, and every title given,, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he subjected everything under his feet, and appointed him as head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way.

The Devil Does Not Have Dominion

The Scripture does not say Satan is a roaring lion, only that he makes the noise of one. He functions as a roaring lion, which is completely different from actually being a roaring lion. It is time to strip the mask off Satan. He has no strength, power, or authority over a child of God. He can only growl, hoping your own fear will take over and you will then attribute to him powers he no longer has.

Here’s the key spiritual fact you must grasp firmly in your mind: The devil does not have dominion over the earth. Satan told Jesus when he tempted Him in the wilderness: “…all this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine” (Luke 4:6-7). But Jesus knew that Satan was a liar, that God never relinquished control of the earth, and that He never will.

There is not one verse in the entire Word of God that indicates the earth was ever given into Satan’s evil hands, yet, many Christians believe this lie of the devil. Satan is not in control of the earth. Jesus, through His death and resurrection, destroyed the works of the devil.

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all. (Ephesians 1:19-23)

Israel was promised power over all the enemies they would encounter in their Promised Land. God’s Word declares that you and I have been given total dominion over this world. The power that was once in Christ’s hands has been transferred to us through our spiritual inheritance as His children. Now, His power is in your hands.

Make this declaration:

I have total dominion over this world. The power that was once in Christ’s hands has been transferred on to me. His power is in my hands.
