Fulfilling Your Destiny

Journey Into The Promised Land

John 1:1–15 (CSB)

PROLOGUE

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were created through him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created. In him was life,, and that life was the light of men. That light shines in the darkness, and yet the darkness did not overcome it.

There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify about the light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but he came to testify about the light.

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.,

10 He was in the world, and the world was created through him, and yet the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. 12 But to all who did receive him, he gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in his name, 13 who were born, not of natural descent, or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man, but of God.

14 The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 (John testified concerning him and exclaimed, “This was the one of whom I said, ‘The one coming after me ranks ahead of me, because he existed before me.’ ”)

The Will Of God

The will of God is something we need to know more about because there is no way that you can have faith for miracles, healing, or victory over your circumstances if you do not believe it is God’s will to give you deliverance. You will never reach your destiny without this knowledge.

Jesus plainly declared what His purpose was in 1 John 3:8: “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” His will is declared in Matthew 8:17 where it says, “Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” It is God’s will to save every person from sin: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

It is God’s will for us to have salvation, prosperity, health, and victory and it is as important for us to know that it is His will for us to have these things. We can never pray the prayer of faith for anything until we know that what we are praying for is God’s will. The prayer of faith must be tied to infallibility. Infallibility means that it cannot be questioned.

We must know beyond question that it is God’s will if we are going to pray in faith. We can pray and know that something will happen when we know that we are tied to that which cannot be questioned. The only thing in the world that is infallible, which cannot be questioned, is God’s Word — not just His written Word, the Bible, but also the living Word, Jesus. Everything that ever has been created was created by God’s Word. God said “Let there be light” and there was light. He said, “Let the dry land appear” and it was so. He said, “Let the earth bring forth” and it did. Every time God said something would happen, it happened because of the creative power of God’s Word. It could not be questioned. It was infallible.

Out of nothing, God created everything that was created by the power of His infallible Word. That was His spoken Word, and the living Word was right there all the time.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made… And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:1-3,14)

God’s Word is truth.

“God, that cannot lie, promised…” (Titus 1:2).

“It was impossible for God to lie…” (Hebrews 6.18).

God’s Word is forever settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89). It cannot and will not ever be changed: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35).

Make this declaration:

God cannot lie. His Word is settled in Heaven. His Word is truth.
