Penetrating Enemy Lines
Journey Into The Promised Land
Breaking The Cycle Of Defeat
Yesterday, I gave you the first four keys that will help you break out of the cycle of defeat in your life and begin to live in a cycle of victory:
- Replace stress with peace.
- Rejoice.
- Take your eyes off your circumstances and fix them on Jesus and the Word.
- Resist Satan.
Today, I want to give you three more additional keys:
5. Release Your Faith. In prayer, cast all your cares on Jesus, believe God’s covenant promises to you, and release your faith to God. As you do, act on what you believe as if it were already done. Believe that you have received the answer even before you see any evidence.
But let him ask in faith without doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (James 1:6-8, NAS)
6. Wait on the Lord. We are only defeated when we become weary and faint in our minds. The moment you feel that you are becoming weary — tired of resisting, tired of struggling, tired of casting out fear and doubt, tired of releasing your faith, tired of the circumstances — take time out to wait on the Lord in prayer. God is faithful, Who will strengthen and sustain you.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall; but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:29-31)
7. Persevere. Regardless of how long you may have waited for deliverance in your circumstances, regardless of the pain or heartache you feel, persevere in the Spirit. Keep on pressing through in prayer. Keep on believing. Keep on releasing your faith and expecting God to deliver you.
Make this declaration:
I am releasing my faith in God for deliverance. I will wait on the Lord and persevere until He sets me free.
