Ezekiel 47:1–10 (CSB)

THE LIFE-GIVING RIVER

47 Then he brought me back to the entrance of the temple and there was water flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the temple faced east. The water was coming down from under the south side of the threshold of the temple, south of the altar. 2 Next he brought me out by way of the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate that faced east; there the water was trickling from the south side. 3 As the man went out east with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a third of a mile and led me through the water. It came up to my ankles. 4 Then he measured off a third of a mile and led me through the water. It came up to my knees. He measured off another third of a mile and led me through the water. It came up to my waist. 5 Again he measured off a third of a mile, and it was a river that I could not cross on foot. For the water had risen; it was deep enough to swim in, a river that could not be crossed on foot.

6 He asked me, “Do you see this, son of man?” Then he led me back to the bank of the river. 7 When I had returned, I saw a very large number of trees along both sides of the riverbank. 8 He said to me, “This water flows out to the eastern region and goes down to the Arabah. When it enters the sea, the sea of foul water,, the water of the sea becomes fresh. 9 Every kind of living creature that swarms will live wherever the river flows, and there will be a huge number of fish because this water goes there. Since the water will become fresh, there will be life everywhere the river goes. 10 Fishermen will stand beside it from En-gedi to En-eglaim. These will become places where nets are spread out to dry. Their fish will consist of many different kinds, like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea.

The River Of God

One of the truths God has taught us in this ministry is that He moves in cycles. A cycle is a period of time with a specific beginning and ending point. Right now, we are in God’s end-time, harvest-time cycle and its ultimate conclusion is the culmination of the harvest and the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God has revealed to me that as part of this end-time cycle, the River of God’s Spirit is rising throughout the whole world and it will crest at unprecedented levels. This divine, supernatural river is a new manifestation and demonstration of God’s power that cannot be measured. It is this manifestation of His presence that will empower us to enter in and claim the spiritual territory God has promised us. Israel passed through a river to claim their land. We, too, will pass through a river — the river of God’s manifested glory.

The Prophet Ezekiel saw a vision of this River of God and described it as a river that could not be passed over which issued into the desert and the sea, and everywhere the waters touched, life sprang forth (Ezekiel 47:5-9). As we are entering the new millennium, the River of God is intensifying as never before. It will not be a trickle. It will not be a puddle. It will not be a stagnant pool of the stale, aging waters of tradition. It will be a new, intensified downpour! Get ready for a deluge. A cascade. A torrent.

One of the major truths God has taught us in this ministry is that all truth is parallel — what is happening in the natural world reflects what is being manifested in the spiritual world. A few years ago, through the world wide weather phenomenon called El Nino, we witnessed floods where there had never before been floods. Small streams were turned into raging waters. Tidal waves of tremendous dimensions completely deluged places like Papua New Guinea. Right now, in the spirit world, God is preparing to parallel this natural phenomena. There is a River of God — a new, intensified tidal wave of His manifested power — that is about to hit this world that will be totally unprecedented:

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. (Joel 2:28)

God’s Spirit will be poured out upon all flesh — your sons, your daughters, the young and the old. Everywhere this River of God flows, new life will spring forth. Everyone who is touched by its waters will experience supernatural healing — a total regeneration of body, mind, soul, and spirit.

Plunge in today. Let that river flow into every area of your life and ministry.
