Possessing the Land

Journey Into The Promised Land

Ephesians 3:9–21 (CSB)

and to shed light for all about the administration of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things. 10 This is so that God’s multi-faceted wisdom may now be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavens. 11 This is according to his eternal purpose accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. 12 In him we have boldness and confident access through faith in him. 13 So, then, I ask you not to be discouraged over my afflictions on your behalf, for they are your glory.

PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL POWER

14 For this reason I kneel before the Father 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named. 16 I pray that he may grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power in your inner being through his Spirit, 17 and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love, 19 and to know Christ’s love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us—21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

We Must Have His Presence

When God birthed this Church, He didn’t birth another club or organization. He didn’t birth the Protestants or the Catholics. When God birthed this Church His intention was to generate a dynamic force, a supernatural power that would never experience any limits. God was literally making a deposit of Himself, through Jesus and the Holy Spirit, into our bodies.

In the beginning, God walked and talked with Adam. In the Old Testament record, God came upon the prophets and judges to manifest Himself and then after the work was done His presence would lift. But when the Church was birthed, God Himself came to indwell His body:

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. (1 John 2:27)

The anointing abides in you permanently. Here is how the Amplified Version translates this verse:

But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides (permanently) in you. (1 John 2:27)

Christ abides in you permanently. His anointing abides in you permanently. His presence is within you — and it is there to stay!

…When you battle sickness or disease in your body, you know His presence is there.

…When you face a financial crisis — you have a mountain of debt and it keeps piling up God’s presence is right at your side.

…When you are in danger, you don’t fear because you know God’s presence is there.

…When you are battle fatigued, worn, and weary, you are not dismayed because you know God’s presence is with you.

God’s presence equips us with saving and keeping power. It provides guiding power. His presence strengthens us and separates us from the world. It heals, renews, and cleanses us…It is unlimited power! That is why we must have His presence!

Make this declaration:

Thank You God, for Your presence which saves and keeps me, provides guidance, heals, renews, and cleanses me, strengthens and separates me from the world.
